“For me inspiration is everywhere — whether it’s urban or exotic, street or haute couture — it’s how you interpret and process all those influences that turns it into art.”
On Monday, October 24, the stylists at Studio 9 Salon had the pleasure to continue their education with none other than Shear Genius Season 1 runner up, Ben Mollin. We continue our education at least once a month with classes in and out of the salon, but for our last 2011 in house training, we had a real treat!
Ben made the trip from Illinois, exclusively to teach for us. After his Bravo TV stint, he became an educator for Joico/ISO with the help of fellow Shear Genius star, Tabatha Coffey. Studio 9 is a Joico and ISO salon, and Ben is one of the many talented educators we have had in salon in the past three years.
The staff of Studio 9 Salon is a group of highly trained professionals. We take pride in our selection of handpicked individuals. Our staff like our client base is wide and varied. We have a great mix of staff that combines experience with the latest trends and techniques in the industry.
Our Director of Education is Ms. Lauren Lindher
Every stylist at Studio 9 Salon is required to undergo mandatory monthly in salon training. Our salon has a dedicated audio visual room with equipment specifically for training. Our monthly sessions include web seminars, interactive media and live presentations.
Every quarter our major product suppliers sponsor an education event at our facility. Studio 9 Salon staff receives personalized lecture and hands on training. Studio 9 Salon is large enough to leverage and secure some of the finest educators in the industry.
The Staff of Studio 9 Salon regularly attend local, regional and national trade shows and events. During these sessions our staff participates in advanced courses in color, cutting and styling to keep up with the latest trends in the industry.
Studio 9 Salon also sends staff to advanced training in New York and Chicago. This training is conducted in a very limited class size and performed by some of the best known stylist and colorist in the United States. These classes are generally multiple day sessions. Attendees will bring back knowledge and transfer that knowledge back
